Alfred
Alfred is Peter's vent doll. He goes into schools (often in the company of West Midlands and Polish Police Officers) to bring safety and moral teaching with a spiritual emphasis to boys and girls.
He is also a very welcomed guest at many churches when he accompanies Peter to conduct Family Services with a difference!
With the help of West Midlands Police Officers, Peter and Alfred have made four exciting DVD's which are available for use in schools and Sunday Schools. They cover subjects like 'Stranger Danger', bullying and obeying your parents and teachers.
The author and executor of the programme is Rev Peter Green the Director of Christian Family Ministries Trust [A Christian organization which helps children & parents].
The Alfred Programme is produced in Great Britain with the help and cooperation of West Midlands Police where Peter also works as a voluntary multi-faith chaplain.
In Poland the programme is written in cooperation with representatives from Police; Schools; Christian Churches & Parents in Great Britain, and has been designated by the Polish Government as an official 'Agenda' of the Evangelical Church of Poland.
The main purpose of the prevention programme "Alfred Radzi" is to teach children how to stay safe in the face of threats they meet in everyday life, together with the promotion and attitudes of Christian values.
The Programme is designed for children aged from five to eleven years old. It also works very effectively with intellectually disabled children.
Through humour and stories, Alfred the puppet, cleverly animated by Reverend Green, transports the children into a different world, leading them to simple solutions and warning against engaging in risky behaviour.
Through the courtesy of the author many of the schools in our region have benefited from the programme during the last 10 years.
